Since its inception Central Collegiate has given voice to people as both consumers and generators of knowledge in a group that truly represents them. The Collegiate has created space for people to learn and work together so that collaboration has become the norm. There is a commitment to pupil, adult and leadership learning and an understanding of the relationship between the three levels of learning.
We are very proud of the Collegiate and the opputunites for colaboration it provides.
Whilst our main focus is to serve the needs of the schools we represent we are happy for interested third parties to join with us and attend CPD opportunities we provide. You will find details of our CPD programme when you open the CPD link above.

All collegiate schools have registered with the Children's University. Students can now gain 'hours' of study that they do independently and be awarded for this via the CBU. 30 hours of independent work gives a student a Bronze award, and they are formally invited to a graduation ceremony at the university to receive their award.
Sharing good practice is at the heartbeat of the work we do at the collegiate. The Collegiate VLE aims to give teachers and students a hub of resources and a portal to share good ideas amongst other tools for teaching. This is to launch Jan 2011. Watch this space !

NQTs from across the Collegiate gathered together for the second Central Collegiate NQT Residential. NQTs were encouraged to network as they learnt and this they certainly did! The focus of the residential was the importance of the learning environment. The extremely positive feedback stressed the value of the opportunity to consider and reflect. Attendees were encouraged to model some useful tools that would prove suitable and beneficial, when used in their own classrooms and everyone that attended was provided with a data stick containing electronic versions of all the resources and tools used. We hope all attendees returned to school with an enthusiasm for the benefits of networking with colleagues, working across the Collegiate.
